Meet Renee

I’m Renee Schalk, and I will bring equity, diligence, and commitment as your Williamson County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace (JP)!

Your JP should be Fair and Impartial in making decisions that impact people’s lives. Helping families maintain their dignity was my goal as a Family-Based Caseworker for Texas CPS. I strove to find the necessary resources that would most aid the families I worked with. These are among the values I will bring to my job as a Justice of the Peace.

A JP deals with many juvenile justice issues; having raised 4 children to adulthood; I know well the challenges of parenting. I am now raising triplets who continually remind me of both the wonders of childhood and how much society and technology have changed in the last 20 years.
I have lived in both the very rural south and in the city, having grown up in Brooklyn and in a tiny speck on the map in rural Florida. I grew up poor, but was raised with love and instilled with the importance of getting a good education. I used scholarships and loans to graduate from Columbia University with a degree in Sociology.

My life experiences and knowledge of people in society will help me apply justice to those who come before me as your JP, fairly and impartially, within the confines of the law.
